Alfalfa Seed (organic)

Description

This Organic Alfalfa Seed is used for Seed Sprouted Teas (SST), or you can grow a Living Mulch
** A Living Mulch is when you grow a cover crop on top of you soil to act like a mulch**
Alfalfa grows low to the soil level and you can always topdress over it and replant again.
You can also use this for a cover crop in your garden in the spring of fall to add nutrients and minerals along with fresh organic matter to you soil.
Recipe for Seed Sprouted Alfalfa Seed Tea:
1/4 ounce of alfalfa seed, sprout the seed using an easysprouter, or put them in a glass of water for 8 hours.
Then strain the water and put them in small bucket in the dark.
TIP: I use our 5 gallon mesh strainer, put the seeds in the strainer, then dunk them in water for 8hrs, then take it out of the water and then put the whole strainer and seeds in a bucket and cover.  I will post a video in the blog section of the process soon!
Wait a day or two until the tails that come out of the seed are as long as the seed itself.
Then take the sprouts and mix with a little water and blend well in a blender.
Add that blended solution to 5 gallons of water and apply to soil! This must be used right away, please do not store.
