However, it should shed excess water to avoid soggy roots that can cause root rot. By utilizing perlite and pumice, we create an airy mix that does just that. This is a great potting mix for Majesty Palm, Cat Palm, Parlor Palm, Ponytail Palm, Areca Palm, and many other types of palm trees. TIP: A good rule of thumb, if you want healthy palms, is to make sure you feed them frequently—whether you're growing them indoors or outdoors. INGREDIENTS: Peat moss, perlite, pumice, and lime.
