Beautiful Victorian Mother of Pearl & Lace Folding Fan w/ 10kt Gold plated loop

Description

This is a great fan with exquisite lace.  The lace is hand ground and hand design with the initials "E" and "N" on either side of the angel.  Small angels are throughout the lace.  Hard to tell in the photos, but the ribs are white and the lace is "off-white".  The last 3 photos show magnifications of the lace - the one with the grid shows the threads are 0.1mm wide.
The guard sticks are both Mother of Pearl and the inside sticks are Mother of Pearl with wood ribs.  The MOP has great
iridescence
and color!  The 15 sticks are 10-3/4" long and the fan when open is 18".  The loop and ring are 10kt. gold plated, and the rivet is covered with MOP.
I usually don't make this offer, but if the high bidder requests, I can replace the missing wood rib and put a splint on the one that is broken - I recommend that the cracked guard sticks remains as previously repaired.  The wood and paint will not be archival and the paint will match the existing ribs as close as possible.  All glues will be archival and the glue to the lace will be archival.  After payment my the high bidder, the repaired fan will ship in 2 weeks (time allowed for the paint to cure properly).  Please contact me after bidding to indicate your interest.
