Carnivorous plants need soil that is low in nutrients and allows air to reach the roots. I recommend this soil for Venus Flytraps, American Pitcher Plants, Albany Pitcher Plants, Bladderworts and most Sundews. The soil is measured dry and packaged that way. Avoid vermiculite mixes as it tends to decompose and turn to mush over time while releasing minerals that are to toxic to your plants. This mix is made with perlite, quartz sand, and peat moss.
